GIZ

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), GIZ supports its partner countries in creating more and better employment opportunities that offer people a living wage.

GIZ has produced an important guiding document on Full and Productive Employment and Decent Work for All in which they showcase their understanding of the concept of decent work and strategies to work towards it. They work hard to unpack and detail what constitutes a quality job and how to measure the extent to which jobs meet these criteria. An important programme of GIZ in this regard is their Employment for Development (E4D) programme in Africa (Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda).
